Looking for something a little different to do with your friends or family? The Olive Oil Company’s tasting nights are the perfect way to enhance your understanding of great flavours, try a range of delicious products, and have a blast at the same time! Available for groups of 10-15 people, our tasting nights are reasonably priced at just $15 per person. Here’s what you can expect:
A Warm Welcome and a Little History:
Meet Mark and Noreen – family business owners/olive oil enthusiasts – as they give you a little history of the company and how they fell in love with the products they offer…you can’t help but catch their enthusiasm!
The Olive Oils:
Your tasting night begins with a full briefing on Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO). Taste the difference between mild, medium, and robust EVOO. You can take a sip of each to taste the difference for yourself. Next, you will head over to the Agrumato and Infused olive oils. Not only do you get to learn about the process for making each, you are brought samples of food featuring one of these flavourful oils. This is usually where you get hooked!
Indulgent Balsamics:
The next stop is balsamic vinegar. Become an expert in how white and dark balsamics differ. Pick the white balsamic that appeals to you most and give it a try in a cold glass of sparkling water. Many people tell us this is their new favourite drink. To taste a dark balsamic in action, another food sample is brought out – often a crisp, fresh salad topped with a dark balsamic vinegar.
Speciality Section:
Black and white truffle oils and Dark balsamic aged up to 25 years are on the menu in the specialty section. Why are they considered specialty items? You will have to wait for your tasting night to find out! Time for some more food…something savoury with our mouth-watering truffle oil.
Sweet Treats:
End your night with something sweet. Drizzle any flavour of dark balsamic and create the perfect decadent dessert.
